Summit is giving audiences a preview of the epic romance they’re in store for in a new “Divergent” clip featuring leads Shailene Woodley and Theo James making out.
The moment their lips meet comes after Four (James) shows Tris (Woodley) his tattoos, which cover his entire back — and all of five of the factions, because he’s a divergent, just like her.

Based on author Veronica Roth’s young adult science fiction novel of the same name, the upcoming film takes place in a futuristic Chicago where citizens are separated into five different groups — Abnegation, Erudite, Dauntless, Amity, and Candor — dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtue.
The problem is, some citizens can fit into any group, and a woman named Jeanine Matthews (Kate Winslet) doesn’t want them around, so they’re an endangered species in this society.
“Divergent,” directed by Neil Burger, hits theaters on March 21.
