TheWrap ShortList Film Festival Issues 2015 Call For Entries

TheWrap’s fourth annual shorts festival will award $20,000 top prize

TheWrap ShortList Film Festival is pleased to open its submissions for the 4th Annual Film Festival today, Monday, Feb. 16, 2015.

This year’s festival will stream online from August 4-18 on ShortListFilmFestival.com and TheWrap.com and will air exclusively on EPIX. Winners will be announced at a live party in Los Angeles, with filmmakers and jury in attendance. $30,000 in prize money will be awarded to winners in three categories.

The festival offers unparalleled opportunities to get your film in front of an audience of industry influencers. One of last year’s Official Selections, “The Phone Call,” is currently nominated for an Academy Award.

The festival is accepting submissions of narrative, documentary and animated short films. The festival will continue to show the best award-winning shorts of the year and announced last month the addition of a new category for an original film: The Creators League Prize is seeking one new short under five minutes whose subject matter incorporates overcoming a great challenge or adversity.

The deadlines to submit U.S. and international films for the 2015 ShortList Film Festival are as follows:

April 6, 2015: Early bird deadline
May 4, 2015: Regular deadline
June 15, 2015: Late deadline
