Showtime Plans a Trio of Premieres for January

“Shameless,” “Californication” and “Episodes” all begin new seasons Jan. 9

Showtime announced the start date for its next three original series on Wednesday — "Shameless," "Episodes" and "Californication" all premiere Jan. 9.

"Episodes" stars Matt LeBlanc, Stephen Mangan and Tamsin Greig will host the big premiere night on-air. "Californication," which stars David Duchovny as a promiscuous, dysfunctional writer, is returning for season four. Both "Episodes" and "Shameless" are new shows.

"Shameless" follows an alcoholic father played by William H. Macy and his band of misfit children. "Episodes" features "Friends" alum LeBlanc basically playing himself — an actor named Matt LeBlanc who's cast in an American remake of a British series.
