Showtime Renews ‘Inside Comedy’ for Fourth Season

David Steinberg and Steve Carell’s show will include interviews with Stephen Colbert, Michael Keaton, Bryan Cranston and Dan Aykroyd

"Inside Comedy" returns to Showtime for Season 4

Showtime has picked up “Inside Comedy” for Season 4 slated to premiere later this year, the network announced Thursday.

From comedians David Steinberg and Steve Carell, the documentary series returns with six, half-hour episodes and Steinberg will serve as the show’s host.

This season will include interviews with future CBS “Late Show” host Stephen Colbert, Bryan Cranston (“Breaking Bad”), Dan Aykroyd (“Ghostbusters”),  Michael Keaton (“Birdman”), comedian Wanda Sykes and Emmy-nominated writer Carol Leifer.

Launched in 2012, “Inside Comedy” also takes a look at the defining moments of stars known in the comedy realm. The interviews include rare footage of their memorable performances in film, on stage and television.

Carell and Steinberg have signed on again as executive producers alongside Vance DeGeneres, Charlie Hartstock, Alan Zweibel and Josh Etting.
