‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’: Tom Holland’s Webbed Superhero Rebels in New Trailer (Video)

Preview also offers closer glimpse at Michael Keaton’s villain

Tom Holland’s Peter Parker feels like he’s being treated like a child by Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark in the new trailer for Sony’s “Spider-Man: Homecoming.”

“Can’t you just be a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man?” Tony Stark asks Peter Parker as the webbed superhero tries to solve crime and help people throughout Brooklyn.

“I’m sick of Mr. Stark treating me like a kid,” Parker tells his friend, to which he responds, “You are a kid!”

“Yeah, a kid who can stop a bus with his bare hands!” Parker says.

The trailer also offers a closer glimpse at Michael Keaton and Donald Glover’s characters, and Zendaya makes a quick cameo in a scene we’ve seen in a previous trailer.

Spidey (Holland) tries to go back to his daily routine after “Captain America: Civil War,” but is distracted by thoughts of wanting to prove himself. That’s when the film’s villain appears, threatening everyone Peter Parker loves.

“Homecoming” will skip the backstory of how Parker gets his powers, a story that was highlighted in the previous “Spider-Man” incarnations.

“Spider-Man: Homecoming” also stars Marisa Tomei, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, and Tony Revolori.

“Spider-Man: Homecoming” hits theaters July 7.
