Jason Bateman and Robert Duvall will sit down for conversations
Director Marc Webb will deliver a keynote address at the South by the Southwest Film Festival in March, a couple of months before his next film, “The Amazing Spider-Man 2,” opens in theaters. Webb also directed the prior “Spider-Man,” which rebooted the franchise five years after the previous movie.
Actors Mike Myers, Jason Bateman, Tilda Swinton and Robert Duvall will all sit down for sessions at the Austin, Tex.-based festival as well. Bateman's directorial debut, “Bad Words,” will be screening at the festival.
The film conference element of the festival runs over the first four days, from March 7-11. Bateman, Webb and Swinton will speak March 8, while Jason Blum and Ralph Steadman will speak the following day. Myers, “Girls” creator Lena Dunham, director Alejandro Jodorowsky will all speak March 10. Many of these keynotes were already announced.
Though the conference concludes March 11, the film festival runs through March 16. The festival will screen 133 movies, 89 of which will be making their world premieres. There are also 113 shorts screenings across 11 shorts programs.
