‘Spider-Man’ Musical May Get Comic-Book-Writing Script Doctor

Big budget show reportedly reaching out to Marvel’s Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa to help beef up the script

The producers of the Broadway musical “Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark” have asked Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, a playwright who also written Spider-Man stories for Marvel Comics, if he is interested and available to help rewrite the script for the big-budget, critically assailed musical, according to the New York Times. The Times cites two people familiar with the discussions.

A spokesperson for the show declined to comment on Aguirre-Sacasa's hire, when reached by TheWrap.

Nothing has been signed and no verbal agreement has been made, but the two people said that Mr. Aguirre-Sacasa had indicated that he wanted to join “Spider-Man.”
