‘Star Wars’ Han Solo Spinoff: First Look at Main Cast on Set (Photo)

The standalone Han Solo “Star Wars” film officially began production on Feb. 20 in London. Lucasfilm has released a cast photo to prove it.

In the picture, we can see Alden Ehrenreich, Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover, Woody Harrelson and Chewbacca, who will be played by Joonas Suotamo.

Thandie Newton and Phoebe Waller-Bridge also star.

The untitled Han Solo film, directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, is set for a release in 2019. Kathleen Kennedy and Allison Shearmur are producing the spinoff film.

The next film in the main “Star Wars” saga, “The Last Jedi,” will be released December 15, 2017.

The last film in the “Star Wars” franchise, “Rogue One,” crossed the $1 billion worldwide box office benchmark and has grossed over $500 million at the domestic box office.
