‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ International Trailer Offers Fans New Footage (Video)

Latest entry in epic sci-fi series opens in theaters Dec. 18

Disney released the international version of the “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” trailer on Friday.

In footage not seen in any of the previous trailers, Finn (John Boyega) and Rey (Daisy Ridley) speak on board the Millennium Falcon. We also get an extended look at Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew) and C-3PO (Anthony Daniels).

Perhaps the most surprising moment comes when we see Rey at the mercy of Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), as he puts his lightsaber to her neck.

We also hear more of Rey’s conversation with a mysterious female figure that figured prominently in the U.S. version of the third trailer. Most notably, over a shot of a crying Rey, we hear her say, “Hope is not lost today. It is found.”

“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” hits theaters on Dec. 18.
