Starz Promotes Alison Hoffman to Executive Vice President of Marketing

She was previously the premium cable network’s former senior vice president of originals marketing

Alison Hoffman has been promoted to executive vice president of marketing at Starz, CEO Chris Albrecht announced on Tuesday.

In her new role, the Brown University graduate will spearhead all consumer and affiliate marketing for the network, while continuing to lead all facets of marketing strategy and planning for original productions, including show positioning, creative and media strategy and digital marketing.

Hoffman, the premium cable network’s former senior vice president of originals marketing, joined Starz in 2012 after serving as vice president of creative and brand strategy at AMC Networks.

She helped transform AMC from a movie channel to a cable destination by architecting marketing campaigns for “Breaking Bad,” “The Walking Dead” and “Mad Men.”

“I am extremely pleased to announce the well-deserved promotion of Alison Hoffman to Executive vice president of marketing,” Albrecht said in a statement. “Alison has been instrumental in the success of the company’s original programming expansion and building the Starz brand. Alison is a talented marketing executive who brings a wealth of expertise to the position.”
