Starz Realign as New CFO Takes on Job Previously Held by President

Scott D. Macdonald takes on Glenn Curtis's former job

Starz LLC has promoted Scott D. Macdonald to chief financial officer, a title he takes over from president and CFO Glenn Curtis.

The announcement continues a reshuffling at Starz: Curtis, the former Starz CFO, was named president and CFO in February, and will now have only president in his title.

Curtis took on some of the responsibilities of Bill Myers, who stepped down in January as president and chief operating executive for Starz Entertainment. When Curtis took on the title of president, Starz CEO Chris Albrecht dropped it, though his responsibilities remained the same.

Macdonald (pictured), previously executive vice president of finance and accounting and treasurer, joined Starz Media as senior vice president of finance and accounting in 2006.

“Scott has a deep understanding of the various Starz business lines and strategies and is a key member of our executive team,” Curtis said.

Prior to joining Starz, Macdonald worked for Adelphia Communications as chief accounting officer, at AT&T Broadband as senior vice president and corporate controller, and for Primestar, Inc. as vice president and controller.
