Starz’s “Power” saw a sizable bump in viewership for last Saturday’s season finale.
In its 9 p.m. timeslot, “Power” earned a 2.9 HH rating and nearly 1.1 million viewers. That more than doubles the show’s series premiere back on June 7th, which earned a 1.3 HH rating and 462,000 viewers. Over the weekend’s replays, viewers of the finale grew to almost 2.5 million viewers. That outpaces all recent STARZ finale weekends since “Spartacus: War of The Damned” in April 2013.
The season currently averages four million viewers per week across all platforms, including Starz linear, Starz On Demand and Starz Play.
Executive produced by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, “Power” was created by executive producer and showrunner Courtney Kemp Agboh. Mark Canton, Randall Emmett and David Knoller also serve as executive producers. It’s produced in association with CBS Television Studios.
Renewed for a 10-episode second season back in June, “Power” stars Omari Hardwick, Lela Loren, Naturi Naughton and Joseph Sikora. Hardwick stars as the owner of a nightclub that doubles as a drug business.
The season will also air again on Encore Black starting August 12.
