Veteran journalist Stephen Battaglio has jumped from TV Guide to the Los Angeles Times.
Battaglio, most recently business editor at TV Guide, is joining the L.A. Times’ Company Town team to cover the TV and media beat, said assistant managing editor for Arts & Entertainment John Corrigan.
In addition to his TV Guide stint, Battaglio has also held positions at the New York Daily News, Inside.com and the Hollywood Reporter.
Battaglio will work from New York, reporting to Company Town editor Joe Bel Bruno.
Stephen is a terrific addition to our Company Town team,” Corrigan said. “He has a track record of breaking news and in developing smart trend and enterprise pieces. He’ll bolster our coverage of the TV news and sports business, and his presence in New York will be an asset in covering the increasing amount of production taking place there.”
