Stephen Colbert Recruits a Hungry Mitt Romney for New ‘Late Show’ Teasers (Video)

CBS airs three new ads for its flagship late-night show during Sunday’s episode of “60 Minutes”

Stephen Colbert recruited Mitt Romney for a new “Late Show” promo that aired Sunday during CBS’ “60 Minutes,” along with two other short TV spots for the network’s revamped version of “The Late Show.”

“I’ll talk about the news, tell jokes and have fascinating conversations with celebrities, athletes, musicians and, of course, politicians,” he said before stumbling upon the former presidential candidate who is hungry for pancakes.

Colbert previously hosted Comedy Central’s “The Colbert Report,” on which he played a die-hard conservative. Romney secured the Republican party’s presidential nomination before losing to democrat Barack Obama in the 2012 general election.

“The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” premieres Sept. 8 at 11:35 p.m. EST on CBS.
