The comedy series starts back up on Tuesday, and TheWrap has your first look at Season 2’s trailer, which is posted above. You’ve never seen Miley Cyrus’ dad throw so many punches.
Season 1 of “Still The King” followed Vernon (Billy Ray Cyrus) as he got to know his daughter Charlotte (Madison Iseman), whom he never knew existed. Making matters even more delicate, the “Achy Breaky Heart” singer’s character was simultaneously attempting to repair his relationship with his ex and her mom, Debbie (Joey Lauren Adams).
This season, while the family dynamic is still in play, the focus shifts to the ensemble cast (which includes Kevin Farley, Jon Sewell, Arden Myrin and Travis Nicholson), according to CMT, with the show taking a quirkier turn in the process. These days, Vernon is fresh out of jail and determined to reclaim his position as a country music superstar, while still being present in the lives of Charlotte and Debbie.
Faced with the possibility of being a father to Debbie’s unborn child, Vernon must balance his desires for fame and family. Watch the Season 2 trailer above.
