Get ready to learn a lot more about lawman Jim Hopper’s daughter in the upcoming second season of Netflix’s “Stranger Things.”

David Harbour, who plays Hopper on the series, told TV Guide that his character’s daughter will “be the primary focus” of the season.

“Hopper’s daughter will be the primary focus of Season 2, but not in the way that you think it will be,” Harbour said. “Hopper’s understanding of that relationship and Hopper’s understanding of being a father and of being a man grows deeper and deeper in Season 2, and we get a lot of time to explore what that is, but it won’t be in the literal way that you think it is.”

While it’s pretty much anyone’s guess as to how “Stranger Things” will play out in its sophomore run, it should be interesting to see how the series handles the topic of Hopper’s daughter, who according to the first season had died, contributing to Hopper’s descent into alcoholism.

Fans will have to wait a little while longer to see how it all plays out; the second season of “Stranger Things” won’t premiere until October 27 — appropriately enough, just in time for viewers to get spooked for Halloween.
