Sundance: Ewan McGregor, Tye Sheridan on ‘Last Days in the Desert’s’ Religious Tones (Video)

“I don’t think there was any element of … this film that was in any way disrespectful to people of faith” said McGregor in the Sundance Indiegogo Lounge

Stars of the film “Last Days in the Desert” Ewan McGregor and Tye Sheridan sat down with TheWrap‘s Steve Pond to discuss the film, which imagines an encounter between Jesus and a struggling family during the religious figure’s 40-day fast.

Anticipating controversy of the film’s subject matter, McGregor said, “I don’t think there was any element of this script or the making of this film that was in any way disrespectful to people of faith or to the ideas … of Jesus Christ… If there had been, then I don’t know that we would have been so passionate about making it.
