Sundance Feature ‘LUV’ Strikes Exclusive AMC Release Deal

AMC Theatres and Indomina Releasing have struck a deal for the independent feature “LUV” to play exclusively at AMC locations around the country

AMC Theatres and Indomina Releasing have struck a deal for the independent feature “LUV” to play exclusively at AMC locations around the country, the companies announced on Thursday.

Getty ImagesDirected by Sheldon Candis, the film will be released on Jan. 18 in AMC Theaters nationwide. It will also receive support from AMC, including marketing and promotional efforts. 

The film, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, tells the story of an 11-year-old boy who gets a crash course in what it means to be a grown up when he spends a day with the uncle he idolizes.

The cast includes Common (left), Charles S. Dutton, Meagan Good, Marc John Jefferies, Lonette McKee, Michael Kenneth Williams, Dennis Haysbert and Danny Glover.
