Sunday Ratings: Selleck Movie Craters CBS

Network finishes in last place, with ‘Amazing Race’ also floundering to its lowest-rated season finale

Tom Selleck’s latest “Jesse Stone” movie cratered 36 percent in the key adult demo, as CBS finished in last place Sunday night.

Meanwhile, despite a 3 percent week-to-week drop, “Desperate Housewives” powered ABC to ratings victory.

Here are Sunday’s ratings highlights:

MAYBE THEY SHOULD JUST CALL IT ‘THE RACE’: Not only did CBS endure a lackluster 1.4 rating/4 share performance in the adults 18-49 demo from “Jesse Stone: No Remorse,” its “The Amazing Race” had its worst season finale ever, scoring a 2.9/9.

HOUSE PROUD: ABC won the night, based on a 3.7/10 adult-demo score from “Desperate Housewives,” which was also the evening’s most viewed show with 11.2 million watchers.

MAC THE RIFE: Fox’s Seth MacFarlane comedy block led it into second place, with “Family Guy” registering a 3.8/10 and “American Dad” scoring a 2.9/8.

DONALD’S PLUCK: NBC finished in third place, with “Celebrity Apprentice” spiking 12 percent to a 2.0/8.
