Former "Survivor" producer Bruce Beresford-Redman, whose wife Monica was killed in Mexico last spring, was taken into custody on Tuesday by U.S. Marshals, an FBI spokesperson confirmed to TheWrap.
Beresford-Redman is a suspect in his wife's slain, although he has denied the claim that he was involved.
The arrest is for extradition to Mexico, where he would be tried.

A hearing on the extradition request is scheduled for Wednesday morning in Los Angeles district court.
Beresford-Redman's attorney Richard G. Hirsch did not immediately respond to TheWrap's requests for comment.
Beresford-Redman agreed to give custody of the couple's two children to his parents last week.
Monica Beresford-Redman's dead body was found in April in a sewer near Cancun's Moon Palace Hotel. She had suffered a blow to the head and appeared to have been asphyxiated.
In addition to his work on "Survivor," Beresford-Redman co-created "Pimp My Ride."
