‘Survivor’s Remorse’ Renewed By Starz for Season 3

Basketball comedy series is produced by LeBron James

Starz has given a third season renewal to comedy series “Survivor’s Remorse,” the cable network announced Wednesday.

The half-hour series from creator and showrunner Mike O’Malley stars Jessie T. Usher as young basketball star Cam Calloway. Ronreaco Lee, Mike Epps, Tichina Arnold, Teyonah Parris and Erica Ash also star.

“We are thrilled to renew ‘Survivor’s Remorse’ for a third season,” said Carmi Zlotnik, managing director of Starz in a statement. “Since it began, the critics instantly embraced the show, and now we’ve seen its fans grow season over season. This all-star creative team, led expertly by Mike O’Malley, boldly tackles the most topical of issues with heart and humor as the Calloway family deals with ‘pro-money and pro-problems’ off the basketball court. We are very happy and proud to have them return to STARZ for another season.”

Mike O’Malley serves as executive producer and showrunner. Boston Red Sox chairman Tom Werner, and LeBron James executive produce with Maverick Carter, sports marketing executive and LeBron James‘ business partner; Paul Wachter, founder and cCEO of Main Street Advisors; Victor Levin (“Mad Men,” “Mad About You”); and Hilton Smith (“Hung,” “Deadwood”).

O’Malley will again serve as executive producer and showrunner for Season 3.
