Taylor Swift and MJ Take Top Awards at AMAs

Michael Jackson wins four posthumous awards, including favorite male artist.

Michael Jackson took home four posthumous awards at the 37th Annual American Music Awards on Sunday, but was bested by teenage country crossover star Taylor Swift, who won five — including Artist of the Year.

Jackson, who died at age 50 in June just days before he was meant to embark on a concert stint in London, was honored with four awards, including Favorite Male Artist (Pop/Rock). (photo: Jermaine Jackson accepting for his brother/ Getty)
