Taylor Swift Shares Strange Sea Urchin Fear to Ellen: ‘They’re Like a Grenade’ (Video)

The “Shake it Off” singer also dishes on Adam Levine’s secret weakness

Taylor Swift‘s new album, “1989,” comes out next week and the pop princess is reminding the world of her endearing cuteness in a candid chat with Ellen DeGeneres.

In an interview airing on Monday, Oct. 27, Swift stopped by “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” to talk about a range of irreverent and yet adorable topics, including her own deepest fears and what she learned about Adam Levine while serving as a contestant advisor on NBC’s “The Voice.”

The cat-loving singer and the talk show host also launched the premiere episode of their new spoof TV show “Kitty Corner.”

So what are Swift’s deepest fears? Sea urchins for one. “They’re like a grenade,” she explained to Ellen. “They’re sitting there waiting to completely injure you …  If you’re in the Caribbean and you’re like, ‘Oh this water’s so beautiful, it’s amazing!’ Then you step on one.

“It has barbs and it goes into whatever it touches,” she went on to exclaim. “You could lose your foot, you could lose your hand… you could lose your hand trying to get it off of your foot. I just don’t like sea urchins.”

Next, she explained that she also has an irrational fear of being arrested.

“You’re scared of getting arrested?” Ellen asked. “I’m scared of getting framed. Look at me, I wouldn’t survive in jail,” Taylor clarified, revealing that she is terrified of being plucked from her house with her cats and getting locked up.

“In a nightmare world it’s being framed for murder.” Humoring her leap of logic, the host told Swift: “But anyway I think you’re fine. I think you would have fans in prison and they would take care of you.”

The pair went on to dish on Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine‘s biggest weakness, as Taylor told DeGeneres that musical theater songs make the rocker swoon, especially those “Rent.”

“Yeah, you just go and sing ‘5,250,600 minutes.’ You have to do theater voice, then he’s just like ‘Ah.’ He can’t even run away because he’s so weak.”

Also on Monday’s episode, Swift performs her hit “Shake It Off,” and new single “Out Of The Woods.”
