And then there were five: The CW has signed on to Hulu’s live pay-TV streaming service, joining CBS, NBC, Fox and ABC.

“The CW has long attracted younger audiences to live TV, so we are very happy to offer the network through Hulu’s new live service,” said Tim Connolly, senior vice president, Strategic Partnerships & Distribution.

“The CW is excited to be a part of Hulu’s groundbreaking new live TV service,” added Chris Brooks, executive vice president, Network Distribution, The CW. “This new partnership furthers our goal of expanding our audience across digital platforms.”

Subscribers to Hulu’s live service will have live access to The CW’s primetime and local-market programming. Video on demand episodes of The CW’s current season series will be available to Hulu with Live TV subscribers soon.

Hulu now offers live and on-demand programming from more than 50 popular sports, news, entertainment and kids channels — plus its own library — for $39.99 per month. That includes 50 hours of Cloud DVR recording storage, up to six individual profiles and two simultaneous streams per account, with options to upgrade to an enhanced Cloud DVR with 200 hours of storage and unlimited in-home concurrent screens.

The streaming service also offers premium network add-ons for HBO, Cinemax and Showtime.
