There was already a strange “Star Wars” vibe to young Ned Stark’s fight outside the Tower of Joy during the May 8 episode of “Game of Thrones,” thanks in particular to Ser Arthur Dayne wielding a sword in each hand.
So this video is really just the logical next step. In the video, which was posted by YouTube user EricThePooh, we get lightsaber energy blades overlaid over each fighter’s sword, along with all the appropriate sounds.
But the final, particularly nice touch, is the addition of “Star Wars” music — specifically the theme from “Revenge of the Sith,” “Battle of the Heroes.”
It all adds up to a good light primer for what is sure to be another episode of death and mayhem on “Game of Thrones” Sunday night. Watch the video above.
