‘The View’s’ Whoopi Goldberg Defends Kelly Osbourne’s Latino Remark: ‘You Sometimes Step in Dog Doo’ (Video)

Guest co-host asked Donald Trump on Tuesday: “Who is going to be cleaning your toilet?”

“The View’s” opening promos Wednesday promised “the final word on what really went down” yesterday when guest co-host Kelly Osbourne asked Donald Trump who would clean his toilet if he kicked Latino immigrants out of the country. We’ll see if the following actually shuts everybody up.

“I just want to start by making something clear,” moderator Whoopi Goldberg began this morning, “the point she was actually trying to make is that Donald Trump’s stance on immigration would only end up hurting the people that Donald Trump is counting on.”

Goldberg then explained how live television works, saying, “you sometimes step in dog doo.”

“Sometimes your head works faster than your mouth,” she continued, something she probably intended to say in reverse.

After Osbourne made her poorly received remark on Tuesday, she pretty swiftly tried to walk it back. Watch that video here.

“If you’ve ever met a racist, it’s pretty clear — they’re pretty clear,” Goldberg continued her Wednesday defense of Osbourne.

The rest of the panel was happy to help, though Rosie Perez was extra-noticeably out today.

“I don’t think she’d be a racist if she was friends with me,” Raven-Symoné, who groaned when Osbourne made the comment on Tuesday, offered — also in reverse, however.

“Well, hello — I’m darker than you,” Goldberg countered.

Whoopi, who said Osbourne just “made a boo-boo,” concluded for everyone: “We live in the doo-doo.”

Indeed.
