TheWrap Taps Adalian as TV Editor

Vet reporter comes over after stints at Variety and TV Week.

TheWrap has tapped TV Week.com editor Josef Adalian as its television editor.

“Joe is one of the most knowledgeable, authoritative journalists covering television,” said Sharon Waxman, CEO and Founder of TheWrap. “ His reporting is a must-read for anyone serious about following this part of the industry. We are delighted to have his voice contribute to the A-team we are building.”

Prior to his stint at TV Week, Adalian was TV editor at Variety, where he covered television for a decade.

Adalian joins TheWrap’s editorial team, which includes former E! Online Founding Editor-in-Chief Lew Harris and news editor Michael Speier, who also came over from Variety.

Adalian began his career at the New York Post and Boston Herald, continuing to cover both the business of network television and news.

Along with its regular features and entertainment business news, TheWrap continues to host Hollywood insiders who blog at the site, including Oscar-winning producer Dan Jinks, writer-director John Ridley, producer Laura Ziskin, producer Mike Medavoy, musician Peter Himmelman, TV legend Norman Lear, among others.

Adalian will begin his new role at TheWrap on August 1.
