Thomas Jane Joining Sylvester Stallone in ‘Headshot’

The “Hung” actor will play a New York police detective who partners with a hitman to catch the murderers of each of their partners

Thomas Jane is going from gigolo to cop.

The star of HBO's "Hung" will join the Sylvester Stallone in "Headshot." He'll play a police detective who partners with a hitman, played by Stallone, to solve the murders of each of their partners.

The actor told JoBlo Podcast that he has accepted the role in the Walter Hill project.

"He's a hitman, I'm a cop, and we're just opposite in every f*cking way, and we need each other to get this job done. And of course I'm like, 'As soon as this job's over, I'm going to take you to jail, you know, you're a killer,'" he told the podcast.

Alfred Gough, Alexandra Milchan, Miles Millar and Kevin King Templeton are producing.  Stuart Ford and Deepak Nayar are executive producing.

Alessandro Camon is writing the script based on Alexis Nolent's graphic novel.

"Headshot" will film in Louisiana in May.

Jane is repped by CAA.
