A+E Appoints Thomas Moody, Laura Fleury to New Executive Roles

Both represent internal moves that are effective immediately

A+E Networks appointed two executives on Wednesday: Thomas Moody to senior vice president, Programming, Planning & Acquisitions, FYI and LMN; and Laura Fleury’s to vice president, Programming & Development, LMN.

Moody, who has been with A+E Networks since 2001, will oversee program planning, strategy and acquisitions for both FYI and LMN. He was previously responsible for developing and implementing the scheduling and acquisition strategies for A&E and BIO. In addition, Moody has also developed and/or served as an executive producer on A+E Networks shows such as “Hoarders,” “Private Sessions,” “Biography,” “Celebrity Ghost Stories,” and more.

Fleury will oversee all original programming for the network. She has been with A+E Networks for over 15 years, and in her previous role at A&E, Fleury developed and served as executive producer for “Beyond Scared Straight,” “The First 48,” “Parking Wars,” “The Killer Speaks,” “Manhunters: Fugitive Task Force,” and others. She has also developed and executive produced several series for the BIO channel.

The new positions are effective immediately.
