"Home Improvement" star Tim Allen has signed on to host the TV Land Awards, immediately giving the kudos show more power.
(OK, that quip would have worked if this were 1996. You’d instantly laugh because you’d remember that Tim Taylor’s big catchphrase on "Tool Time" was "More power!" So just humor us and chuckle a little bit, OK?)
The eighth annual TV Land Awards will be held April 17 on the Sony lot. The show will air Sunday, April 25 at 9 p.m.
Allen’s back as the voice of Buzz Lightyear in "Toy Story 3," out June 18.
