Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner to Receive Producers Guild’s Top Movie Award

PGA's David O. Selznick Achievement Award will go to Working Title Pictures co-chairmen Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner

Producers Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner, who will no doubt be in the thick of this year's awards race with "Les Miserables" and "Anna Karenina," now know for sure that there's an honor they'll be taking home. On Wednesday, the Producers Guild of America announced that the two men, co-chairmen of Working Title Pictures, have been named recipients of the David O. Selznick Achievement Award in Theatrical Motion Pictures, the highest honor that the PGA gives to theatrical producers.

Getty ImagesThe award is given for a producer's entire body of work. In addition to the upcoming Oscar contenders "Les Miserables" and "Anna Karenina," Bevan and Fellner have produced films that include "Fargo," "Four Weddings and a Funeral," "Billy Elliot," "Pride & Prejudice," Sid and Nancy," "Frost/Nixon" and "O Brother Where Art Thou?" Their company, Working Title, was founded in 1983.

"Both as individuals, and as a bona fide producing team, they have made contributions to the art and craft of storytelling, which are the envy of filmmakers the world over," said PGA Awards chair Michael DeLuca in a release announcing the award.

Past winners of the David O. Selznick Award include Steven Spielberg, Scott Rudin, John Lasseter, Laura Ziskin, Jerry Bruckheimer, Brian Grazer, Clint Eastwood and Saul Zaentz.

The PGA Awards will take place on Sat., Jan. 26 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
