Time Warner Names Gary Ginsberg Executive VP

He held similar title at News Corp. for a decade

Gary Ginsberg has been named an executive vice president of Time Warner Inc., effective April 1.

In the newly created role, reporting to Time Warner chairman-CEO Jeff Bewkes, Ginsberg will work with TW senior management on corporate matters including overseeing its marketing, public affairs and communications efforts.

In announcing the appointment Thursday, Bewkes said, “Gary has a great reputation in our industry as a trusted corporate adviser. I welcome his strategic counsel and plan to take immediate advantage of his vast experience.”

From 1999 until 2009, Ginsberg was an executive VP at News Corp. Before joining News Corp., he was a managing director at the New York-based strategic consulting firm of Clark & Weinstock. He also was a senior editor and counsel of George, the monthly political magazine, and a former assistant counsel to President Bill Clinton.
