Tituss Burgess on Why He Has ‘No Hopes’ for His ‘Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’ Character (Video)

“I have no imagination in terms of the trajectory a character should take,” actor says

Tituss Burgess is utterly hopeless when it comes to his “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” character Titus Andromedon — and he prefers it that way.

Burgess dropped by TheWrap recently to discuss an array of topics, including what part of his character he wishes he got to explore more on the series.

“I have no hopes for Titus. I am not a showrunner,” Burgess divulged. “I have no imagination in terms of the trajectory a character should take. I know my lane, and I stay in it. [Series creators] Tina[Fey]  and Robert [Carlock] are excellent at that, and they don’t need my help trying to find out where Titus should go. So I just show up, and I say what they tell me to say, and I make it funny.”
