TNT's 'Mob City' Gets Soft Ratings Start

Former “Walking Dead” boss Frank Darabont's new show draws 2.3 million total viewers

“Mob City” could use a bigger population.

The new drama from former “Walking Dead” showrunner Frank Darabont premiered Wednesday to a relatively soft 2.3 million total viewers.

Not a particularly strong showing, compared to other recent TNT series premieres, such as “Falling Skies,” which bowed to 5.9 million total viewers, and “Dallas,” which premiered last year with 6.8 million total viewers.

In TNT's target 25-54 demo, the miniseries’ premiere drew 875,000 viewers.

Starring Jon Bernthal, Milo Ventimiglia, Neal McDonough and others, “Mob City” revolves around the battle between the police and mobsters in 1940s Los Angeles.

    I didn't even know it was on so I missed the beginning, but what I watched looked pretty good. I will definitely watch it next week.

    I love the look of the show but story seems easy to assemble. I hope ep 3-4-5-6 pick up the pace.
