‘Today’s’ Savannah Guthrie Was ‘Really Surprised’ by Awkward Gosselin Twins Interview (Video)

“I thought the girls had something on their minds,” the journalist said on Thursday’s “Watch What Happens Live”

A week ago, “Today” show viewers were treated to a very awkward moment with Kate Gosselin and her teen twins, Mady and Cara.

“I was really surprised,” Guthrie said of the twins clamming up on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live” on Thursday.

“They came on, and I thought the girls had something on their minds — they wanted to get it off their chests,” she continued.

Instead of talking about how OK the family is after years of starring on their TLC series, both twins suffered from camera shyness.

Kate didn’t come off well to some viewers when she said, “Mady, your words,” as her daughter struggled to answer Guthrie’s question. “It’s your chance. Spit it out,” the mom continued.
