Apparently, Tom Cruise's philosophy toward his estranged wife Katie Holmes is, "You can't divorce me — I'm divorcing you!"
"Mission: Impossible" actor Cruise, who was hit with divorce papers from Holmes last week, will file his own rival divorce case against Holmes, his attorney told the BBC.
According to Cruise's attorney Bert Fields, the plan is to let Holmes' legal team "play the media" before getting Cruise's side of the story out.

"We are letting 'the other side' (Katie and her team), play the media until they wear everyone out and then we'll have something to say," Fields said, declining to reveal the venue of Cruise's divorce case or whether he will seek joint custody of the couple's six-year-old daughter, Suri Cruise.

Holmes filed for divorce from Cruise last week after five years of marriage. A spokeswoman for the actor said he was "deeply saddened" by Holmes' decision, and is "concentrating on his three children."
Holmes' attorney said in a statement that Holmes' "primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter's best interest."
Cruise, who turned 50 on Tuesday, has recently been filming the sci-fi adventure film "Oblivion" in Iceland.
Fields has not yet responded to TheWrap's request for comment.
