The first trailer for Tom Hiddleston‘s “I Saw the Light” chronicles the success and troubles of American musician Hank Williams.

In the trailer, which debuted on Entertainment Weekly, Hiddleston stars as Williams, who is married to Audrey Mae (Elizabeth Olsen) but sleeps with another woman every single night while he is on tour.

Williams struggled with substance abuse as well as a spinal condition before he died at a young age.

“Everybody has a little darkness in ’em,” said Hiddleston in the trailer. “I’m talking about things like anger, sorrow, shame. I show it to them, and they hear it, and they don’t have to take it home.”

Written and directed by Marc Abraham, the film is named after one of Williams’ 1948 songs, “I Saw the Light.”

The film hits theaters March 25, 2016.
