Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga Reveal Release Date of Jazz Duet Album, PBS Special (Video)

The album, called “Cheek to Cheek,” drops Sept. 23

Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga love working together. In fact, in an interview on Tuesday’s “Today” show, the veteran crooner called Gaga a “great jazz singer.”

The pair were on the show, perched at the top of Rockefeller Plaza, to announce the release date of their jazz standards album, “Cheek to Cheek,” which comes out on Sept. 23.

“The collaboration has just been so wonderful, ” Gaga, who sang with Bennett on his “Duets II” album in 2011, told Savannah Guthrie. “It’s so natural singing with Tony.”

The unlikely duo also announced that they just performed a secret concert, which will be aired on PBS on Oct. 24 at 9 pm ET.
