N.S. Bienstock, which represents news heavyweights like Anderson Cooper and Bill O’Reilly, has added Adam Block as a packaging agent

Adam Block has joined N.S. Bienstock, one of the country's most powerful talent agencies, as an international packaging agent.

Off the Fence

Bienstock specializes in talent from news and reality television, boasting including Anderson Cooper and Bill O’Reilly.

Block (left), who will package both television and digital media, comes to the agency from Amsterdam-based Off the Fence, an independent television distribution company. He was the North American representative for Off the Fence, which specializes in non-fiction films for the likes of National Geographic and Canal Plus.

“This hire continues our philosophy of hiring experienced executives,” Richard Leibner, President of N.S. Bienstock, Inc, said in a statement.  “Adam brings a well-established network of relationships with North American and Canadian producers, as well as multi-platform program buyers across domestic and international markets.”

Leibner’s father, Sol, was first involved with the company, which bares the name of Nate Bienstock, who once represented Walter Cronkite.

This announcement was made at the World Congress of Science and Factual Producers conference.

“I was attracted to Bienstock because of the depth of service and attentiveness it provides clients and the collaborative approach across the agency,” Block said in a statement. “Their talent, programming, literary and merchandising departments create opportunities and provide a turn-key solution so I can focus on building enterprise value for my clients.”

For the Record: A previous version of this article said that N.S. Bienstock represents Diane Sawyer. While the agency once represented Sawyer, it no longer does.
