Jason Sudeikis and Kirsten Dunst are set to star in the biting comedy “Sleeping With Other People,” which Leslye Headland (“Bachelorette”) will write and direct for Gary Sanchez Productions and IM Global, the companies announced on Tuesday in Toronto.
Story follows a good-natured womanizer (Sudeikis) who befriends a remorseful serial cheater (Dunst). Their platonic relationship reforms their chronic infidelity but sparks an inconvenient romantic attraction to each other.
Will Ferrell, Adam McKay, Jessica Elbaum will produce for Gary Sanchez. CAA is packaging and representing U.S. rights, while IM Global is handling international rights.
“Sleeping With Other People” marks a reunion for Headland, Dunst and the Gary Sanchez producing team, all of whom recently worked together on the sleeper hit “Bachelorette.”
Sudeikis, who recently left “Saturday Night Love,” currently stars in “We’re the Millers” and will soon begin filming “Horrible Bosses 2.” He’s repped by CAA and Brillstein Entertainment Partners.
Dunst is repped by UTA and Management 360, while Headland is repped by CAA and Caliber Media.
