President Trump will personally donate $1 million to Harvey relief efforts, according to Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

Sanders said that the president’s donation will come from his personal finances, but did not clarify which specific charity would receive the funds. She said that Trump wants reporters to chime in on which charities should get his money.

However, Sanders didn’t announce Trump’s planned donation until a reporter asked what the Trump family plans to do in order to help Harvey victims.

“He’s pledging $1 million of personal money,” she replied said. “He’s actually asked that I check with the folks in this room, since you are very good at research and have been doing a lot of reporting into the groups and organizations that are best and most effective.”

Sanders said Trump would “love” suggestions and urged reporters to contact her if they come up with any ideas. Later in the press briefing, Sanders was asked if the money will come directly from Trump, as opposed to the Trump organization or the Trump Foundation.

“I know that the president said he was personally going to give. I don’t know the legal part of exactly that, but he said personally,” she replied.

Trump and the First Lady will tour areas affected by Harvey on Saturday. At least 30 people have died as a result of the massive flooding and the water has heavily damaged thousands of homes across Texas.
