Trump Says It’s ‘Very Rude’ to Question Transgender Policy (Video)

“She’s very rude,” Trump says after being asked about his new policy in the Rose Garden

President Trump called a woman “very rude” for asking about his policy on transgender people being banned from the military while speaking in the Rose Garden on Wednesday.

Trump had finished addressing a group from the American Legion and was posing for a photo when someone shouted a question regarding his new ban.

“She’s very rude,” Trump said as he shook his head.

Trump took to Twitter on Wednesday to ban transgender people from the United States military, marking a major shift from current policy that has shocked the LGBT community.

“After consultation with my Generals and military experts, please be advised that the United States Government will not accept or allow… Transgender individuals to serve in any capacity in the U.S. Military. Our military must be focused on decisive and overwhelming,” Trump wrote.

He continued: “Victory and cannot be burdened with the tremendous medical costs and disruption that transgender in the military would entail. Thank you.”

Members of the transgender community have been able to serve openly in the military since last year, when then-Defense Secretary Ash Carter lifted the ban, but Trump plans to change the policy again. During a press briefing on Wednesday, Sarah Huckabee Sanders said the White House and Department of Defense will work together on how to implement the new plan.
