TV Land Launches Two New Shows, Renews ‘Retired at 35’

Fran Drescher, Donald Faison and Wayne Knight will star in sitcoms about life after divorce

TV Land announced on Monday that it has green-lit two new sitcoms and has renewed its series "Retired at 35," which debuted in January.

The channel has also expanded its third-season order from 22 to 24 episodes.

New series "Happily Divorced" will star former "The Nanny" actress Fran Drescher as a Los Angeles florist who dives back into the dating pool after finding out her husband of 18 years is gay.

Complicating matters is the fact that hew now-ex husband, portrayed by John Michael Higgins, still lives in the same home as her.

D.W. Moffett of "Friday Night Lights" will play Drescher's love interest.

TV Land's other new addition, "The Exes," will star "Scrubs" actor Donald Faison, Wayne Knight of "Seinfeld" and David Alan Basche ("Lipstick Jungle") as three divorced men who live across the hall from their divorce attorney/landlord.
