Ratings: 'How I Met Your Mother' Leads CBS Lineup to Double-Digit Gains

Fox's timeslot premiere of “The Following” predictably drops without NFC Championship lead-in

Led by the 200th episode of “How I Met Your Mother,” CBS topped Monday night with double-digit percentage increases in ratings across the board.

Fox's “The Following” had its regular timeslot premiere, receiving a 2.0 rating in the key demo. It was predictably down from the 4.4 rating the show earned last Sunday in the timeslot after the NFL's NFC Championship game.

CBS averaged a 2.5 rating/7 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and was first in total viewers with an average of 9.1 million, according to preliminary numbers. At 8 p.m., “How I Met Your Mother” was the highest-rated show of the night, earning a 3.8/11 — up 23 percent — and 10.7 million viewers. At 8:30, “2 Broke Girls” received a 3.0/8 and 9.9 million viewers. At 9, “Mike & Molly” had a 2.6/7 — up 24 percent — and 10.7 million viewers. It was the most-watched show of the night. “Mom” at 9:30 got a 2.4/6 — up 26 percent — and 9.5 million viewers. At 10, “Intelligence” earned a 1.5/4 — up 36 percent — and had 6.8 million viewers.
