Hope Davis will play a politician who's in danger of assassination
Hope Davis has been "Ordained" into the CBS pilot roster.
"About Schmidt" star Davis has been cast in CBS's upcoming drama pilot "The Ordained." The pilot, which is being written and co-produced by Lisa Takeuchi Cullen, follows Tom, the son of a Kennedy-esque family (played by "Boardwalk Empire" alum Charlie Cox) who abandons the priesthood and joins the legal profession to prevent his politician sister from being assassinated.

Davis will play the endangered sister.
The cast also includes "Entourage" alum Emmanuelle Chriqui and "Alcatraz" star Sam Neill, as Tom's next-door neighbor and father, respectively.

R.J. Cutler ("Nashville") is directing the pilot, which comes from CBS Television Studios.
