“Parks and Recreation” star sends tomorrow's leaders into the world with a few laughs at Ivy League ceremony
Pomp and circumstance? Not when Amy Poehler is around.
The "Parks and Recreation" funny-lady was on hand at Harvard College Class Day ceremony on Wednesday to send the new grads forth into an increasingly grim world with a few laughs tucked away under their mortarboards.
Among Poehler's wisecracks? "I tried to write today's speech the way I wrote everything in college," the Boston College alum riffed. "I stayed up all night, typing on a Canon word processor while listening to Sir Mix-a-Lot."
Weren't lucky enough to graduate from Harvard yourself? Go ahead and live vicariously by watching Poehler's speech below.
