Mark Burnett and Roma Downey reveal that "The Bible" was met with skepticism on "Oprah's Next Chapter"
The next episode of "Oprah's Next Chapter" is going to be of Biblical proportions.
Mark Burnett and Roma Downey, the husband-and-wife executive producers of History's hit miniseries "The Bible," sit down with Winfrey on the next installment of "Oprah's Next Chapter," airing Sunday at 9 p.m. on OWN.
Though "The Bible" proved to be a phenomenal success for History, drawing 13.1 million total viewers with its premiere episode in March, Burnett and Downey reveal to Winfrey that the project was met with considerable skepticism.
"Many people in Hollywood kind of rolled their eyes," Burnett says in a preview for the episode.
Diogo Morgado — the actor who played the Son of God on the miniseries — also drops in on the episode, giving Winfrey the opportunity to reflect on "Hot Jesus."
"We not only found Jesus, we found Hot Jesus," Winfrey enthuses.
