Hasan Minhaj has joined the cast of ABC Family's upcoming comedy "State of Georgia" in a recurring role, according to his management company, New Wave Entertainment.

Minhaj, who also serves as a regular on the new season of MTV's hidden-camera series "Disaster Date," will have a recurring role as Seth, a graduate student in physics at Columbia University. The series stars "That's So Raven" alum Raven-Symoné as Georgia, who moves from the rural south to New York in order to pursue her acting career. The cast is fleshed out by Majandra Delfino ("Roswell"), Brock Cuchna ("Melrose Place") and Loretta Devine ("Grey's Anatomy").

The series will premiere on June 29 at 8:30 p.m.

The actor/comedian recently performed at the 2011 CBS Diversity Showcase and the 2011 MTV Winter Comedy Showcase. He also does a pretty wicked imitation of recently slain terrorist leader Osama bin Laden, as evidenced by the parody video below.
