Unscripted offerings will revolve around modeling world and utter lack of privacy
With a slew of scripted fare already lined up for the CW's upcoming season, the series is now beginning to beef up its reality roster, TheWrap has learned.
The network is expected to announce two new unscripted series during its upfront presentation to advertisers on Thursday. "Re-Modeled" will feature modeling-industry bigwig Paul Fisher's efforts to bring hundreds of small modeling agencies together into one large conglomerate called The Network. Fisher will use the collective in an attempt to "change the industry from the inside out," bringing increased power to small-town agents and helping models to empower themselves and lead healthier lives.
The series, via Fly on the Wall Entertainment and Sony Pictures Television, will be co-executive produced by Allison Grodner, Rich Meehan and Amy Palmer, who collectively have worked on "Big Brother," "You're Cut Off," "She's Got the Look" and "Plain Jane."
"The Frame," meanwhile, is being described as "part reality show, and part social experiment." The show will pit 10 teams of two people against each other, with each team living in a single room under constant surveillance. Isolated from the goings-on in the outside world, the teams will compete in a variety of challenges and competitions, while the viewing public monitors their activities and determines the fate of each team.
A production of Shed Media and Armoza International Media, the series will be executive-produced by Nick Emmerson and Jen O’Connell, whose past credits include "Bethenny Ever After," "Supernanny" and "Who Do You Think You Are."
