Fox Broadcasting Co. has restructured its marketing and communications departments in order to encourage collaboration between departments and streamline the decision-making process, the network said Thursday.
Under the new structure, several new teams have been created, and a number of employees have been elevated to executive vice president status to lead them, reporting to Fox president of marketing and communications, Joe Earley.
Laurel Bernard, former senior vice president, marketing, will now serve as executive vice president of marketing, leading Fox's affiliate marketing and multi-platform distribution marketing efforts in addition to her pre-existing duties. Bernard's team will consist of Michelle Garry, who's been promoted to senior vice president, multi-platform distribution, as well as senior vice president of affiliate marketing Nick Belperio, vice president of national media Emily King, and vice president of on-air planning Shawn Mills.
Brian Dollenmayer, meanwhile, moves from senior vice president, on-air promotion and creative marketing to the new position of executive vice president of on-air promotions and marketing operations, handling the creative vision and operations behind the on-air and radio promotional campaigns for Fox's series. Dollenmayer's team will include Steve Weinheimer, senior vice president of on-air promotion operations.
Shannon Ryan, who had been serving as Fox's senior vice president, publicity and corporate communications, is now the company's executive vice president of marketing & communications. Ryan will spearhead Fox's earned media strategy and grassroots marketing efforts, as well as overseeing Fox's publicity, corporate communications and creative services teams. Ryan's team will include George Oswald, who's been promoted to executive vice president, creative services group and executive producer, special projects; and Tomiko Iwata, who has been bumped up to senior vice president, creative services group.
